What are the benefits of booking a train trip and hotel together?
By booking both your train tickets and your hotel together, you benefit from better prices, better service for your entire booking, and you can be certain that you sleep in sustainable hotels that are relatively close to a train station.
What does 'better service’ mean?
The advantage of booking both your train tickets and hotel together is that, if your plans change, you can easily change or cancel the entire trip in one place.
Please keep in mind the specific conditions of the hotel booking and train tickets. The specific terms may differ per train provider and type of hotel booking. For example, a non-refundable hotel booking means that changes are no longer possible.
In addition, we are available 24/7 for any questions before,during, or after your trip to make your trip an unforgettable experience.
What makes it 'better prices'?
BetterWay always strives to offer the best prices in the market for your benefit. We can offer prices that are not available if you book your train ticket or hotel separately, because hotel providers often offer a better price if a hotel is booked as part of a travel package. Until now, these rates were often only available when booking with a flight, but we have made them available when booking with a train as well. Savings can sometimes reach up to 25% compared to booking your train ticket and hotel separately.
What does ‘better for the environment’ mean?
Most people now know that travelling by train is an excellent, sustainable alternative. Train travel emits significantly less CO2 than comparable forms of transport, for example, air travel, meaning your trip has much less impact on the environment. In addition, we only work with hotels that take certifiable steps for sustainability, such as reducing their CO2 emissions, or reducing waste.

We know all too well that a good night's sleep is essential if you want to enjoy a train journey. We only work with the best hotels, with the right price/quality ratio, that are easily accessible from a train station, and have a sustainability certificate.
In collaboration with Because.eco, we work with the most renowned parties in the hospitality industry who award hotels so-called eco-label certificates through strict criteria and independent assessments. Certified DE, GreenKey, Green Sign, GreenStep, Travellife and Green Tourism are the parties we work with.

What does the collaboration with VZR Garant mean?
In order to meet its statutory obligation to provide a guarantee, BetterWay makes use of the guarantee scheme provided by VZR Garant (www.vzr-garant.nl). You can check that this is the case by visiting VZR Garant’s website and verifying that the organisation is listed as a participant. VZR Garant’s guarantee applies within the limits of its Guarantee Scheme (which can be found on VZR Garant’s website). The Guarantee Scheme specifies the exact (travel) offering to which VZR Garant’s guarantee applies and what the guarantee entails.
